Where do the RFQs come from?
From official government sources, including the National Treasury eTenders portal, collected twice a day so you see new RFQs the same day they are published.
What is an RFQ?
A request for quotation. Government buyers use RFQs for purchases usually below R1 million, and ask several suppliers for a price before choosing one.
What do I see when I open an RFQ?
The buyer's name, the RFQ reference number, the RFQ documents and the instructions for where and how to submit your quote. If the RFQ names a contact person, you see that too.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time. There is no contract. Cancelling stops the next payment, and you keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
How do I pay?
Choose a plan and tap the yellow button. You go straight to Payfast, South Africa's secure payment gateway, and pay by credit card, debit card or instant EFT. We never see your full card number. Your plan renews monthly until you cancel.
What happens after I pay?
You land on a page that confirms your payment. Add your name, cellphone and the email where you want your RFQ alerts, choose a password, then tap the link in the confirmation email we send you. That's it: your plan is on and your alerts start. If the email doesn't arrive, the page lets you resend it or fix a typo.
Who runs RFQs.co.za?
RFQs.co.za is operated by Epic Digital Connect (Pty) Ltd, a South African digital company. Email support@rfqs.co.za and we reply within one business day.
Do I need to be registered on the CSD?
Most government buyers require suppliers to be registered on the Central Supplier Database before they can be paid. You can search RFQs and see their full details while your registration is in progress.
